Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a Title I school located in a predominantly Hispanic and African American neighborhood. My students are excited to learn, create, and express themselves through artistic experimentation. While they may be short on funds, they have an abundance of creativity and imagination.
My Project
These paint colors will make it possible for my students to paint skin tones, neutrals, and neon colors. These colors provide young artists with endless color combinations and allow them to express themselves in new and exciting ways. Most of the time these paints are limited to primary and secondary colors which makes painting predictable and boring. I want my students to have the opportunity to create and express themselves in new and unique ways that are not limited by basic and boring colors. Please help me provide these supplies.
