My Project

Our three year olds are some of the most amazing students you will ever meet. Despite the disadvantages they face because of their zip code and perceived abilities, they come to school every day and thrive on the academic and social opportunities provided for them. For many of them, this is their first time in a structured learning setting and take full advantage of our play based curriculum where they learn the foundational academic and social skills they will need for the rest of their lives.

These bins will be used to help organize their color coded centers and make it easier for students to plan their daily activities.

Our students have the opportunity each day to explore and learn in 7 different centers. Each center has its own color associated with it to help students choose where they will go and what they will do. These colored bins will be associated with each center to make the center color even more visible and help students with choosing what they would like to do for the day. The pink bins will be used in our block center, the purple ones will be used in our art center, and the orange ones in our dramatic play center. The pink supply caddy will be used as the block center's writing station and will hold pencils, crayons, markers, paper, and alphabet charts for students to be able to draw and write about what they are working on. The pink paper trays will be used to organize our math games that will be used in the block center. The reusable tote bags will be used to store oversized materials that will not fit in the bin.
