Color Coding My Learners Education

My Students

My learners come to school each and every day with a smile on their face and ready to learn. They all come from different backgrounds, but once they enter the classroom a community is built out of trust, respect, and kindness. In over 18 years in education, I have not seen a classroom of understanding, learners that are so accepting of each other's uniqueness personalities.

Every learner is willing to give and accept help from each other in very kind ways.

My Project

As a special educator for a small school in Vermont, I use many visual cues to help them stay on task. I work with learners at many levels and abilities. I use software called Boardmaker to make visual signs to help learners stay on task, without a color printer easily available, it is difficult. This color printer, I will be able to be more proactive. I will be able to make signs, and visuals that will keep them on task. Many of my learners need these visual reminders and less words to be successful.
