This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I support 3rd-5th grade English Language learners and we focus on building academic language and vocabulary. They learn many common morphemes that appear in their reading units and use them to build their vocabulary knowledge. We are currently using white index cards to create morpheme card packs.
With colored index cards, my students would be able to differentiate between prefixes, suffixes, latin and greek roots by color!
This visual would be a tremendous help for my students!
The laminator would help create durable resources and learning tools that my students could use throughout the year without fear of wear and tear! Both of these materials are greatly beneficial and needed for my students!
