My Project

Covid 19 has turned our world upside down. Teachers are facing enormous challenges in order to keep themselves and students safe while giving children the resources they deserve, a rigorous education, and the social-emotional support they need. This has not been an easy task, but I am trying to do everything I can in order for my students to succeed.

This year I have the amazing opportunity to teach English as a New Language (ENL) through visual arts, therefore I’m requesting a color printer to print artwork by famous artists for students to study as well as print out student work.

I currently do not have a working printer in my classroom and a working printer is essential in my classroom for many reasons. I’d love a color printer, therefore I can make copies of famous artworks for students to look at, speak about and write about. With a color printer, I can also print out artwork that students create digitally, therefore I can display them in the school and my students can also bring them home to share with their friends and families. A printer would be helpful to print out notes to parents, resource packets for students, and many other essential items.

New York City Public School teachers will receive $250 for classroom technology, resources and supplies--which covers little to nothing. Now more than ever, we need additional resources to support our students. Please help my vision become a reality by donating to this project. Your generosity means the world to us!
