Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In high school, our students rely on the Chromebooks provided by the school district, but after students graduate, they will lose access to this material.

Laptops are a non-negotiable item needed for college or career technical school today.

Sadly, many students cannot afford one and will have to rent one from school or use an outdated family computer. We want to give away a laptop to one senior so that this stressful expense can be removed from their checklist before the start of their Fall semester. In addition, we need a magic keyboard to go with an iPad that has already been donated so that it can function as a laptop. The Apple Pencil is another prize that will be a neat note-taking tool.

Last but not least, headphones are essential for students to focus in a busy home or school environment. Sadly, high-quality wireless headphones are often a luxury few can afford. All items will be gifted separately, giving students a better chance of succeeding after high school. Winners will be chosen at random in front of a live audience.
