My Project
During the tours, these items will assist students in storing information received by the colleges. Since we will have an extended school day, the snacks and water will satiate students between college tours.
Our high school serves a diverse population that includes a high percentage of low socioeconomic and first generation college students.
Our goal is to expose our students to colleges outside of rural Newberry County and give them the opportunity to visit areas that they may not see otherwise. This tour may also allow students to envision themselves as college students when they may not have thought it was possible.
We believe given the right tools and resources, every student can be successful in their post-secondary endeavors.
