This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As a teacher at a Title I school, I am looking to refurnish my classroom with more up-to-date furniture. Budgets for new furniture are very slim, and I want to ensure my students have modern, college—and career-style workplaces. Tables, stools, and other furnishings help me create a more collaborative environment.

Collaborative workspaces allow students to work in environments similar to college and career-type workspaces.

Students need to collaborate with their peers to prepare them for the workforce. These tables and stools give them a more college-like atmosphere.
