College Level Biology for Rural Indiana High Schoolers!

My students need to be able to afford their textbook, Campbell's Biology: Concepts and Connections, in order to take college-level Biology.

My Students

My students are Rising Sun Shiners! They attend the only high school in the smallest county in the state of Indiana! They are highly motivated and thirsty for learning opportunities a small, rural school can't always provide. As their biology teacher, I hope to expose them as much as possible to the natural world in Rising Sun and beyond.

Next year, ten students want to take college level biology, but most of them cannot afford the $200 textbooks necessary for the class.

Please help me purchase a small set of classroom copies of the book that I can loan to next year's students and to any future students in need.

My Project

My students attend the only high school in the smallest county in the most rural corner of Indiana. They are hungry for science learning opportunities our small school can't always provide. Those who go to college often have a hard time succeeding at the same level as students from larger high schools with more resources.

Next year, I would like to offer a college-level biology class through Indiana University to our juniors and seniors, but most of the students will not be able to afford the textbook, Campbell's Biology: Concepts and Connections.

Please help my students level their playing fields!
