Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are special because they come from diverse backgrounds with various needs. Often our students are first-generation college students who need extra guidance and support. They are very resilient, spirited, and grateful for the help that they receive. Though they have experienced various challenges they continue to pursue their goal of a higher education. They are eager to make positive changes in their life by pursuing a college education or career path after high school.

We are so proud of all of the hard work that our students have put in throughout the year.

This is why we want to raise funds to celebrate our amazing students and provide them with an awesome College Decision Day! Our Student College Ambassadors have taken the initiative to raise money for their peers to support their efforts to pursue a post-secondary education. They have put in so much effort to not only support the senior's pursuit of college but to also build an amazing college-going culture among the underclassman. Who are now motivated and inspired to pursue Post-secondary education as well!

My Project

This computer, TV and gift card to Staples that we are requesting for our seniors are not only rewards that our students would be very grateful to receive but also items that will help ease their transition into college. The students that receive these items will have one less thing to worry about purchasing for school and will have a little more peace of mind about being prepared for college.

The majority of our students will be first-generation college students, by donating to this project you will be rewarding and supporting seniors who have diligently worked hard for their college acceptances.

Our students often do not have the necessary resources and support that other students may have. That is why we want to be sure to celebrate our students and their big achievements. Now that the acceptance letters have come rolling in and our seniors are able to breathe a sigh of relief we want to celebrate and reward their accomplishments!
