it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My junior/senior high school is so proud to sponsor such a high ratio of first generation college-bound students and students currently enrolled in college courses as high schoolers. As trailblazers on a collegiate path, my students are discovering the skills and habits needed to be successful in higher education, skills that other students are fortunate enough to learn in a two-parent household where both parents are college educated. This is where I come in.
My concurrent enrollment and Advance Placement students are almost exclusively the first in their families to both graduate high school and enroll in college.
They must bypass any number of challenges to reach my library door, but I make it my business to ensure these challenges are nothing more than speed bumps in the long run to my young scholars.
Please help me sponsor my incredible young scholars as they seek their CNA and dental hygienist certifications and earn their first college credits when they begin taking Advanced Placement and college courses in freshman year. I'm looking to support my students' note-taking and study needs with this Donors Choose project. We need note-taking supplies like pens, pencils, note cards, highlighters, and sticky notes. Please keep an eye on my educator page as I work to construct a College Bound! center in my library where students may access new school supplies, textbooks, and mentorship by showing me their college class enrollments.
