The students who take my engineering and robotics classes are apart of a large, urban school and come from many different cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. However, these pieces of their identities do not define them.
The students who take my classes are curious, creative, and in general, they are thinkers.
They come in every day willing to learn and be challenged. They are future engineers and scientists, and I want to help start them off on the right foot.
My Project
The transition from high school to college can be a daunting task for many students and now it has been harder than ever to get into college.
Because many of the students in my engineering and robotics classes receive free lunch and will be first-generation college students, I want to be able to provide them with ACT, SAT, college essay, scholarship aids, and college and major books, guides, and other resources to help them out as they prepare for the next step in their lives.
Having these resources available I am sure will help boost my students' confidence as they take their standardized tests, write their essays, and fill out their applications as they work to get into their dream colleges.
