My Project

Students at our school come mainly from low income families. Many stay in the area after graduating and work to help support their families. Creating a college and career lab for my students will be a valuable investment in their future success. The lab will be a place for college recruiter and employers can come to discuss outside opportunities with our scholars. In addition, the furniture, college & career posters/pennants and office supplies will provide students with hands-on learning experiences. We will be able to do interactive activities, projects, and simulations that will help students explore various careers, understand college requirements, and develop essential skills.

The supplies will also enable students to engage in career exploration activities.

These activities include finding tools for conducting career assessments, informational materials about different professions, and resources for exploring various industries. Students will benefit from exposure to real-world applications and gain insights into potential career paths.
