My Students
At the end of the year my students will be moving into Middle School. My goal is to have them reading on/ near grade level and proficient in basic math skills
My classroom is made up of diverse learners with a wide range of needs- students reading on a 1st grade level all the way to students reading on grade level.
My students have expressed a love of technology and thrive off of kinesthetic learning opportunities. Tablets are a perfect way to combine educational material with hands on mobile learning.
My Project
Our school is a technology integrated school. We are provided computers at a ratio of 2 students per computer. With tablets, more students can have access to learning programs and research materials. I would like to tap into my students' love of technology by providing small groups the opportunity to access digital reading materials or other educational apps for Math and ELA. They will also be able to create and share projects using different apps. Students will be able to do research and develop technology related skills that will make them "College and Career Ready" which is our school motto.
This project will provide students the opportunity to improve in every core subject- math, reading, and even writing.
Students will have access to individual and group learning opportunities while deepening their technology skills. Since we are at a Technology focused school, I want my students to have the technology at their fingertips in a way that will get them excited about learning.
