My Project
My 9th and 10th grade English students are creative, energetic, and full of ideas—but our outdated desks limit how they learn and engage. In our Title I urban high school, class sizes are large, and students are crammed into old, fixed desks that make it hard to collaborate, move freely, or even sit comfortably.
This project will bring flexible seating options (Flex-Space Standing Desk Small-Group Zone) in the form of comfortable taller table seating options for students over six feet into our classroom.
The Flex-Space Standing Desk Small-Group Zone collaborative seating resources will foster collaboration, conversation, and focused group work during reading discussions, writing workshops, and project-based learning. With better seating, students can move easily into groups, sit side-by-side to revise work, and engage more actively with their peers and the material.
Your support will transform our room into a more dynamic, inclusive space that supports literacy, discussion, and student voice.
