Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Since August, we have been working on expanding not only our reading skills, but our interests and willingness to understand the world around us.
These students have been working so hard to learn to work together.
They have shown immense growth, and will only grow more with the introduction of these resources. My hope is to engage in more conversations about what we are reading. The copies of No Talking! will spark many activities for writing, grammar, and comprehension as we prepare for their state tests. They will take on reading group roles as well as investigate characterization, purpose, and text structure. The paper will enable me to print resources for discussion.
Scholastic News will serve as another talking and collaboration point regarding news, allowing students to engage with current events and nonfiction topics that may interest them.
