My Project

Collaborative learning is a cornerstone strategy in my classroom. It enables students to actively engage in problem solving and critical thinking in a group setting. Students work together to deepen their understanding of content while also developing 21st century speaking and listening skills.

These white boards and easels make project-based collaborative learning in the classroom a reality!

My students work in collaborative learning stations on a variety of units ranging from analyzing Landmark Supreme Court Cases to researching Civil Rights Leaders and beyond. These stations will enhance student learning, increase knowledge, and help strengthen student's interpersonal skills.

My students are civic-minded and are preparing to be actively engaged Kern County community members. As a Title I school, we support a diverse group of students and a growing English Language Learner population.
