Students in my school can take advantage of weekly clubs which allow them to collaborate and interact with peers on various tracks within our year-round schedule and from different grade levels. They can pursue interests in activities and build skills not available in their regular academic curriculum.
My LEGO Stem club is comprised of a diverse mix of students from all middle school age groups, abilities, and interests seeking ways to design, create, and collaborate each week with like-minded others.
Students will enhance their collaborative learning and applied science skills with Lego STEM kits as well as their own unique creativity using Lego bricks to create their own designs. They will have the ability to see a process through from start to finish and can incorporate essential problem-solving skills with each project.
Building with Lego STEM kits and designing their own creations in free play with Legos is a student-driven way to foster an innovative spirit and the love of science, all while collaborating with others for a truly enjoyable learning experience outside of the usual classroom lessons and activities.
