I teach second grade at a Title I school in North Carolina where over half of our students receive free and reduced lunch.
My students enter our classroom every day full of energy and ready to learn.
No matter what is going on in the world around them, I want my students to know they are safe, capable, and appreciated inside our room. As my students leave our room every afternoon I hope they are a little kinder, wiser, and more independent.
My Project
These requested activity tables will encourage my class to work collaboratively throughout the day, promoting friendships, strengthening communication skills, and creating a positive classroom environment. This setup will give my students better opportunities to engage with peers when needed, while also allowing them to have their own space. These tables will also provide more space for students within my classroom.
I have seen how collaboration and communication can positively affect the classroom environment, so please partner with me to get this funded for the benefit of students.
The products that will be purchased through this project will give my classes these same opportunities for years to come.
