My Students

I teach in a rural school in Georgia, Vermont. Georgia is a community of just over 4,500 residents in the Northwestern region of our state. It is located on the shore of Lake Champlain in Franklin County, which is known for its many dairy farms. Georgia Elementary is a pre-K to 8 school with a student population of about 500.

My third graders enjoy sharing their talents and knowledge with each other and learn best through teamwork and collaboration.

Together, they love to laugh, move, and explore the world around them. In third grade we work hard to identify our strengths and learn to celebrate progress over perfection.

My Project

Collaboration is an important part of every single day in our 3rd grade classroom. When students are asked to interact with each other, and the content, they become actively engaged in their learning. In addition, they build necessary teamwork skills that will help support future success.

The Learniture Shapes Vinyl Soft Seating will support the important collaboration that occurs every day in our classroom by creating flexible stations for students to work together.

Gone are the days of students in rows facing the teacher! This furniture is just what we need to transform our classroom into a comfortable space that supports 21st century learning.
