Collaboration Is Where It's At!

Help me give my students supplies such as a table, headphones, novel sets, and printer ink to work on collaborative culminating projects in English Language Arts class.

My Students

I work with students in a small group, pull-out setting for special education, gifted. The students are in 4th-6th grade, and are in this class because they need enrichment and acceleration of the curriculum that is not routinely found in the regular education setting.

These students are very bright, and they are constantly craving new and exciting ways to learn.

They keep me on my toes implementing new ways to enhance the curriculum in order to meet their academic needs.

My Project

My students will use the requested materials to build relationships and work collaboratively with others within learning stations and through group projects to improve both their writing and reading skills.

The table, headphones, and novel sets will be used for students to work together to read and discuss a novel, then teach a lesson based on the novel they read that demonstrates understanding of grade-level standards beyond what a paper-pencil test can show.

The ink and paper will allow students to publish their writing into a final product to be able to share it with others, along with allowing them to create and print needed activities for their collaborative project. The games and other supplies will be used to create engaging learning stations that practice and review skills in order to ensure my students have the most collaborative learning environment possible.
