This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At my school the majority of our students speak more than one language and over half are classified as English language learners. It is part of my job to work with all of the classroom teachers to make sure that those students are receiving the best scaffolding and supports to learn English in addition to grade level academics. Our school has established a collaborative model to achieve this goal, but implementation this year has been challenging.

These books will give me the tools and strategies I need to best support teachers in helping their students acquire a new language.
