Help me give my students flexible work space. It is my hope that as I slowly move to collaborative tables, square and round tables, it will give my students more work space options in the classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I strive to create a classroom environment where students feel safe to express their feelings, thoughts, ideas, and to take risks. Fourth grade is an exciting year as students are now considered “upper grade” students. With that comes the expectation for students to be responsible for their choices and their learning. I have very high expectations of my students and they always rise to the occasion. In our classroom students feel safe to take risks and persevere in their social, emotional, and academic growth.
My Project
When students walk through the door each day, I want them to feel excited about where they spend their day. In the classroom students are collaborating in all subject areas.
Bringing tables into the classroom will enhance the community design that I am working on.Having circular and sqaure tables in our classroom instead of the huge, heavy, traditional desks will promote cooperative learning and flexible classroom space.
It will provide a safer environment with the ability for 30 students to move around with ease! Students are learning to incorporate flexible learning by working alone, partners, and as a TEAM.
Please consider supporting our young scholars in their educational journey as they find their love for learning! Their physical space is the place to start!
