This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have ninety sixth grade students, many of who are English Language Learners. I also have several students with special needs who are mainstreamed into my classroom for a majority of the day.

I teach at a Title I school, with the majority of students on a free or reduced-price lunch program.

My school is located in a high-poverty area. I would love to be able to offer my students more variety in seating and work spaces in my classroom.

My Project

My classroom is a place where group work is common, teamwork is key, and comfort is appreciated. I want our classroom to be vibrant and enjoyable, while also being a flexible seating environment to meet the needs of my learners. At our school, we have a house system, and each of our houses represents a character trait we want all our students to develop. My house color is orange, representing courage, so I thought we should have some orange chairs!

Through your donation of these requested four Flash Furniture computer chairs, my classroom can offer students a comfortable, colorful choice in seating.
