My Project

I teach junior high math at an amazing school in Louisiana that just so happens to be my Alma mater. My husband, my parents, my in laws and even our grandparents also graduated from this same school. My oldest son will be a student there next year! To say that I take pride in my school is an understatement!

I love my school and I teach some of the most incredible 6th and 7th grade students!

They are so much fun and I love to let them move around the room to collaborate and complete various math activities. The tables that are currently in my classroom are a hindrance to our movement sometimes. I have a couple of larger classes so I have to have seating for a minimum of 28 students but my tables are quite large. The tables are also very old with lots of writing and carvings in them. They are extremely heavy and difficult to move so rearranging the room is impossible.

Acquiring newer, lighter, smaller tables would give us the freedom to move around the room, rearrange as needed, and be free of offensive writings/carvings that can’t be removed.
