This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the weather gets colder, some of the neediest students in my school are going without. Students often don’t have winter gear like hats or gloves or cold weather hygiene items like lotion and Chapstick. Having these essentials readily available at school lets students know we are here for them and care about their well being. Students who view school as a safe and supportive environment are more likely to attend school and therefore have higher achievement. Help us create a care closet for kids who would otherwise go without.
