This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love teaching middle school PE. It is definitely my passion and career for life. I am always collaborating with my department to come up new, and engaging activities to teach kids how having an active lifestyle is essential for living a healthy life. The great part is most of my students truly enjoy PE, and being active which of course leads to some sweating.

This project has one main goal which is keeping kids hydrated by giving them easy access to a cold refreshing water dispenser in the classroom.

As most of us remember having drinking fountains in the classroom growing up, it seems crazy to think that they would not be there anymore, but when covid hit schools took them all out, and when the ban was lifted they just did not put them back.
