Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Shop is a Student-Run Coffee Shop, Social Hub, and Entrepreneurial Space.
The Shop is a vibrant, student-led coffee shop where creativity meets coffee.
More than just a place to grab a drink, it’s a community space for the New Design family to eat, drink, connect, and collaborate. We are requesting coffee cups.
At The Shop, select students are given the unique opportunity to dive into the world of coffee, entrepreneurship, and customer service. Trained by industry professionals, they learn everything from crafting high-quality coffee drinks to delivering exceptional service. They also take the reins in running their own small businesses, hosting pop-up events with thrifted goods or homemade treats, and keeping all of their earnings.
This program goes beyond day-to-day operations. It’s about building real-world skills — from inventory management to handling customer relations — that students can use in their current lives and take with them into their future careers. Whether they dream of becoming baristas, business owners, or anything in between, The Shop is here to support them on their journey.
The cups and lids listed are the mundane essentials that are necessary to make the coffee shop run. We restock on cups ands lids roughly once a month. It would be of monumental support to have these items restocked for us!
