My Project
I love how hardworking, compassionate, and determined my students are. Each day, they show up with a willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to our classroom community in meaningful ways. My students with special needs are especially inspiring. They overcome challenges with resilience and take pride in gaining real world skills.
This project supports our student-run coffee shop, which is a hands on learning experience led by our students with special needs.
The coffee grounds and hot chocolate allow them to serve drinks to staff and classmates, building confidence, communication, and job readiness skills. The safety gloves ensure proper hygiene and give students an opportunity to practice safe food handling procedures.
Every cup served is a step toward greater independence and inclusion and these resources help make that possible.
