My Students

My school is a public charter school providing students (learners) in grades 6-8 a hands-on STEAM, aerospace-focused, and project-based curriculum. We are the first school in the nation to be located right at an airport in Englewood, Colorado. We are part of the CDE (Colorado Department of Education) and the CCSI (Colorado Charter School Institute).

Our learners come from all over the Denver area, from Franktown to Aurora to Arvada and beyond.

This diversity brings different perspectives to our classrooms. Some of our learners have been homeschooled and some are just looking for a different type of school and have found their home at CSA!

Our learners are creative thinkers and very excited about learning! Our curriculum focuses on core academic competencies, in addition to key focus areas that will prepare learners for promising careers in aerospace and technology. I teach all grade levels Exploratory/STEAM.

My Project

Doesn't it feel wonderful to be appreciated when volunteering your time? That is our goal with this project! We will provide coffee for our visitors as they tour the school or volunteer at lunch, in a small group, in the office or for a fundraiser.

When a volunteer is treated with appreciation, they will enjoy being at our school!

The more volunteers we have for our projects, the more hands on adult learning time we have. Thank you for helping us celebrate our visitors in order to have them in our building after a crazy COVID year of no visitors!
