Coffee for Life (Skills)

Help me give my students light up bracelets, coffee stoppers, dish soap and other items necessary to replenish our student based enterprise - our coffee cart!

My Project

My self-contained, special education students are the life of the party! They enjoy the same things that other students enjoy and love learning with a passion. They are eager learners and learn best through hands-on experiences.

Our coffee cart, which is our student-based enterprise, allows my students the chance to learn necessary life skills while interacting with teachers and peers.

We were able to expand our cart at the end of last year to include lemonade and tea and we need to replenish some of the supplies that go along with those items. Lids help to ensure that our students are able to deliver items in a clean manner, biodegradable straws for our customers, stir sticks for our coffee, and cleaning supplies such as sponges and dish detergent are vital pieces of our weekly cart. Each week my students get "paid" and are learning to spend and save for items they cannot yet "afford". The glow bracelets and small prizes are to go in our classroom store to reward them for their hard work and efforts.
