My Students

This project is for my Job Development Class. The point of this class is to help students who have an IEP become ready to transition from high school to the "real world" as seamlessly as possible.

This class does a variety of jobs around the school building that include but are not limited to the following; delivering mail to teachers, making copies for teachers, picking up recycling, delivering packages, filling copy machines, and running a coffee shop.

While we are in the classroom we practice job skills such as interviews and filling out job applications.

My Project

My students run a coffee shop and currently they have to use my computer to keep track of the orders with this iPad it will help the students to become more independent by being able to check the orders on their own. This will make it more of a real life type experience. If they have an iPad they will be able to check the orders while we are out in the building. They will also be able to keep track of teacher's accounts on the iPad instead of in a notebook like do now. This will help to speed up our business and help us not make mistakes while taking, filling, and delivering orders.
