Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are inventors and innovators in the making. As they move through their elementary years, many are beginning to think about the future and imagine themselves in careers related to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). They are eager for real-world experiences that challenge them and thrive when given opportunities to explore hands-on projects that connect their learning.

Through this project, we hope to bring Indi Sphero robots into our library to introduce our students to coding, robotics, and design thinking in an engaging and accessible way.

Students will design obstacle courses, program solutions to complex mazes, and analyze and improve their strategies through trial and error. They will collaborate in small groups to complete engineering challenges, practice effective communication, and strengthen their problem-solving skills.

Our library will host coding challenges, design contests, and creative exploration days where all students can participate. Your support will help make STEAM learning accessible, exciting, and inspiring for all of our students.
