My students need supplies to prepare them for the future with a focus on STEM and coding.

The boys in my class have worked really hard this year to bring up their grades in math and reading. They haven't had the distraction of girls to keep them from their studies :) They come from a low-income/high poverty area of our school district. Everyone receives free breakfast and lunch every day. These boys have been required to grow up a lot faster than any 9/10 year old should.
I want them to enjoy their education and have fun while doing it.
They enjoy anything techy and at times, know more about computers than I do. They love to read - especially if it is on their tablets.
According to Wired Magazine - the next big blue-collar job is coding. IT jobs have a national average salary of $81,000 and the IT field is expected to grow by 12% from 2014-2024. My hope is that my boys are given as much experience with STEM and coding to give them a fighting chance when they get to the point in their lives when they are really thinking about their future.
By donating to our cause you will help give these boys a fighting chance to make a change in their lives.
Dash & Dot robots are hands-on learning tools that teach creativity, problem-solving, and coding to children in grades K-5. Children can see their code come to life in a real-world, hands-on way that engages them fully in the concepts they are learning about. As robotics and computers become increasingly prevalent in students’ lives, understanding programming concepts are becoming very important for students’ success. Students will work in small groups to develop their collaboration and communication abilities as they learn valuable 21st-century skills. Help our students get introduced to STEM early and cultivate their skills for the opportunities of today’s world.
Help these boys and future students learn about coding and where it can take them.
