These students are second grade students located on Air Force base housing with a 100% military population. These students come from all over, and sometimes this is their 2nd or 3rd school in just the few years they've been in school. I want to provide a fun atmosphere for my students that makes them feel welcome and comfortable.
All students should feel safe and welcome in a classroom.
With the students that our school serves, I want to make sure I do just that.
In a world where computer programming will soon become as important as reading and writing, students need more opportunities to dive into this possible career path.
The Sphero and Ozobot robotics will allow my students to explore the world of computer programming through intense coding and gaming opportunities.
By using ramps, blocks and other obstacles, my students will be able to work together to problem-solve through the Sphero and Ozobot apps. Both the Ozobot and Sphero robots are durable and water-proof which will allow for more "play" without having to worry about damaging them. The Sphero robots can be used outdoors as well, which will allow for blending of cross-curricular subjects.
