Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic. They have such curiosity and want to learn everything and anything. I want to guide their energy toward creation and innovation. They love to experiment with new ideas and see how they work. At this age, it is important to be focused on learning, which is difficult with constant distractions. I thrive to provide them with opportunities for hands-on experience. I feel education is not the learning of facts but training the mind to think.

My students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.

They are fearless when it comes to technology. As children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage in their world. They should be adept in the designing process.

My Project

My students need the opportunity to have some fun coding using Lego Wedo. Using Lego WeDo 2.0 I can enrich my students' learning in the STEM fields. I can give my students in my class the opportunity to be mechanical and computer engineers.

My students are curious high schoolers who spend most of their time learning hardcore programming.

They are working very hard to get the certifications in the IT field. Since our campus is a STEM campus. My students have developed a love for different fields of life skills. We have also been coding. I will use Lego WeDo 2.0 to enrich my students' learning during creative time. Creative time is used to empower students. I plan to challenge the students, bringing their programming knowledge and coding to life. My students will use their problem-solving skills to ask questions and design their own solutions. Students will collaborate to build the Get Started Model and use the software to program the model. This project will improve my classroom because it will give my students the opportunity to use a hands-on program to increase their logical reasoning. It will enhance their skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and coding. This will give them the coding experience beyond the screen.
