Coding Robotics Into Our Future with OZOBOTS

My Students

I'm lucky to be able to teach the same group of students for a second year. My kids have an undeniable love for fun and unconventional classroom activities. Like this youth generation, technology is a major part of their school and home lives; and they wouldn't have it any other way.

Their curiosity and passion for learning is noticed and commended by anyone throughout the building who steps foot in our classroom.

I'm confident that any task set before them will be met with nothing but fearless determination.

Their enthusiasm in the classroom is what drives me to go above to unsure they can utilize their creativity to learn math and life skills. I want nothing more for these students than for them to be confident in themselves and their ability to make their wildest dreams come true.

My Project

Technology is an ever growing field that needs more black and brown faces.

Ozobots are an exciting way to introduce my students to the basics of coding and robotics, opening a window to see their place in the field of technology.

Ozobots allow students to code at a variety of levels. First, we start by simply drawing different color-coded commands for the Bots to follow, eventually they will be coding the Bots to do all sorts of cools things with the Scratch programming language using the online companion, Ozoblocky!

Not only are Ozobots a cool way to integrate technology into the classroom, they also allow students to build problem-solving skills that can be applied to any subject area and the real world!
