Coding Our World!

My students need materials for makerspace such as a variety of Osmo's coding materials, watercolors, and a lite brite.

My Students

My third graders are creative, inspiring, innovative, and active. I am so grateful to spend my day learning alongside them. These students are involved in so many activities inside and outside of school, both in the community and outside. Our school itself, is a low income school in a rural community.

My students are eager to try new things and use their passions for good, and that's why I believe it's my job to give them the education they deserve to receive.

Our class is made up of so many dreamers and inventors, and I can't wait to see where the world takes them.

My Project

These materials are ones that have been on our wish list for some time now. I have been amazed with what they can create in makerspace given the resources provided. I'm in awe with how they can tie in interdisciplinary concepts to our makerspace time, and challenge themselves through play. With the addition of new osmos materials, and lite brites, I can support their creativity and growth in third grade!

These new and exciting resources will not only help foster creativity, but motivate inventors in the classroom!

I am looking forward to seeing students use their talents and abilities during this time, and beyond excited to see how this will bring about more team bonding, and problem solving in the classroom.

My students are loving art projects during makerspace. They are always looking forward to new art materials. I am excited to offer some salt painting, with the hopes of receiving a class set of watercolors. This will open up a whole new aspect of makerspace, and encourage and support their desire to create and make art.

In addition, I am excited for students to utilize their technology, and see it integrated into their school day. We are requesting some Osmos coding resources, so that the students will be able to channel their creativity into coding! We are hoping to start utilizing all that Osmos has to offer, by experimenting with the genius kit, coding, and the pizza company sets to start. In the future, we hope to grow our collection, and expand our horizons to more Osmos kits and sets.
