This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of our students want to learn to code at least once in their lives. Our classes just need to have the necessary materials in order to make it fun and educational. In class the Botley robot will provide the opportunity for many kids at a time to play with coding in the classroom comfortably while reinforcing other content areas such as Math and ELA. This helps them with the basic idea of coding and it also helps to build the self-esteem that they need. We will be able to practice our math and ELA skills while having fun coding the robots.

The robot sets will play many roles in the program for the students.

First and foremost, it will give all students a chance to code in class using a fun way. They can control the robot while they play and continue to practice without any distractions. This will enhance the environment not only in the classroom, but on the lives of the students as well.
