This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Coding Mouse is an engaging classroom robot for early-age kids to learn STEM with a variety of cross-curricular activities. It is ideal for helping kids understand cause and effect, directional language and early programming. This product will allow the pre-k and kindergarten classes to have more opportunities to be a part of STEM.

Coding Mouse is also a great way to introduce early coding concepts and providing opportunities for cooperative and collaborative learning.

It stimulates problem-solving and critical thinking and is just the right size for small hands! The simple left, right, forward, backward, pause buttons are not overwhelming and give young kids success in programming the movements.

The manipulatives being purchased will be used not only during our dedicated STEAM block, they will also will be used during our gifted/talented pull-outs. The manipulatives chosen will encourage students to use their engineer and design processes as well as logical reasoning.
