Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These mats will help my students expand their creativity and programming/coding skills. Students will be able to move their robots to desired locations after a lot of practice. Our culminating activity will be to program their robots around these mats by programing mazes and explaining to their peers their code and thought process. The treasure island mats and construction site mats add extra challenges for my students and will encourage them to think about possible obstacles their robots can encounter.

I think my students will benefit from coding because it will promote higher cognitive skills, nurtures creativity, and promotes working collaboratively to solve real world problems.
