This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have an amazing class of 3rd graders. My classroom is full of students filled with curiosity. Their differences are great in the areas of reading level, cultural background, socio-economic background, and personality. One area where I am seeing a common interest is when I teach a lesson involving technology. I'm hoping to find funding to purchase a class set of Ozobots. Students from all learning levels can benefit from learning how to code, and the program offered by Ozobot has lessons that benefit beginning to master coding skills.

My Project

I have been searching for a classroom set of bots that would be compatible with the Chromebooks that my students already use. My class will have the opportunity to learn how to code using the Ozobot Educational System. I have noticed that students from all learning levels benefit from lessons in coding. Learning to code helps with reading, mathematic, and logic skills. This is a powerful learning tool that will help teach the basics of coding and programming to my students. I am so excited that I will have the opportunity to teach the useful skill of coding to my class.
