I have a wonderful class of 20 second grade students. My classroom includes all different types of learners. My class has worked so hard this school year to prepare for third grade and to meet the standards presented in ELA, writing, and math. In addition to these standards, we have continued to grow our social studies CCSS and started rolling out our new Science CCSS.
My students thrive off of the excitement that I try to instill through my teaching.
My goal is to pass on my love of learning to my students. My hope is to have them eager to learn more and more as they move forward to 3rd grade.
My Project
My students have been learning how to Code in technology. They are doing a wonderful job but need more opportunities to explore coding and to practice. Having the Dots will allow them to code at their level, the kits will provide them with enrichment opportunities with the Dot has they excel.
Coding is the future.
Students LOVE coding and it has endless benefits for their learning. Jobs in the future are leading towards the need to understand coding. This will provide them with experience, opportunity and excite their learning.
