Our school is in an urban area located in the heart of the valley, which educates around five hundred and fifty students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. We are a school with a high poverty rate and a majority of our students receive free and reduced lunches.
On a typical day my classroom is full of energetic and creative middle school aged students.
Students who attend our school are funny, inventive and love when teachers integrate technology in their lessons.
My Project
With these materials students will be able to develop critical thinking skills by learning to program and code the Spheros. They will be able to learn how to solve problems and create unique solutions. Students will not only program their robots to go over various textures and surfaces, they will also be programming them to paint like Monet.
Learning to code helps students learn to think logically and mathematically.
Learning to code with spheros will make learning fun and help students by reinforcing mathematical skills. By learning how to code and program students will be better prepared to enter the work force with 21st century skills.
