Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school is a city school and is located in North Carolina.

Because of the economic status of some of our families around 65% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Even though some of students are economically disadvantaged, they are always ready to learn and create together and in this process inspire each other and everyone around them. They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long successful career.

My Project

With the help of this project, I am hoping to bring some excitement in my math class by showing students some practical applications of what they learn every day.

We all agree that students learn more when they are creatively engaged in classroom.

With your generous donations to this project students will be able to model different types of equations and understand how the graph of different equations change based on type of equations and input values. They will use the rover to model the equation, test and observe code results by watching the Innovator Rover move. Applications like this help spark students interest in math and build their problem solving skills.
