This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an energetic and enthusiastic group of 5 and 6-year-olds who are eager to learn with hands-on experiences. They thrive on authentic opportunities to learn the basic skills they will need for the rest of their lives.

My students have shown leadership skills while working together in class.

My job is to support these skills they already have and to develop them into successful adults. I want to provide my students with opportunities to be excited about learning and school.

My Project

The use of Bee-Bots in the classroom will allow my students to use coding and science integrated into all other subjects. Bee-Bots are an authentic, hands-on experience that requires students to use critical thinking skills and be in control of where the robot goes.

Bee-Bots will be used during literacy centers and math centers to allow student to program them to go to letters, sight words, and to sequence stories, find shapes, numbers, or answer questions.

The use of Bee-Bots during centers will allow students to be independent while using coding and their literacy and math knowledge we are currently working on.
