Coding for Our Future

My Students

My students are hard workers and love to learn coding! With your help we can change the mindset of students who grow up in poverty.

They have many obstacles to overcome including not having access to technology outside of the classroom.

Despite their disadvantage they are ready to learn. I hope (with your support) to show them a different side of technology and what careers are available to them with the knowledge of coding. Ozobots are the first step to teaching them coding hopefully sparking their interest to continue on with advanced coding.

My Project

I teach at a Title I school in North Carolina where over half the population lives below the poverty level. My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interests of my students. Students in my classroom would like to learn coding but don't have the opportunity without the resources to make it possible. My project will put coding robots in their hands to spark an interest and show them the opportunities they can have with a career in programming. Every student will have the opportunity to learn how to code. Thanks for your consideration for funding this project.
