The mailboxes have been assigned to each student and have helped maintain students' work organized and clutter free at their tables. Each student utilizes their mailbox daily; they have gotten into the routine of completing an assignment and putting it into their corresponding slot to help maintain all their work in one place. The students are thrilled to have their own little spot with their name written beside it as it makes it truly their own space. When the students first saw their mailboxes they were extremely excited; they first asked what it would be used for and the moment they realized they could store their work in there they were thrilled. They have been using the mailboxes with respect and with care as they want to keep their personal space in great condition! They are so happy to have their own space for their work!\r\n\r\nMoreover, the next steps for our classroom is being able to add and subtract using base tens blocks as well as identifying when they need to refer to the problem in base tens (i.e, 4 tens + 5 tens) or in whole numbers (i.e, 40 + 50). This is the current math skill that the students have been working on; the students will continue to work on this skill throughout the remainder of the school year in various forms so we will be looking for ways to create and utilize anchor charts in the classroom. We are hoping to find activities and games that correspond to this learning content to help scaffold their learning even more.","fullyFundedDate":1731545991216,"projectUrl":"project/flores-classroom-supplies/8912344/","projectTitle":"Flores Classroom Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Flores","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9821261"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_95969","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":409,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":38,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":49,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":68.5,"schoolId":95969,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Sugarloaf Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Sugarloaf Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/henderson-county-public-schools/sugarloaf-elementary-school/95969"}
