As an educator I want to provide meaningful and motivating opportunities for my students to engage in learning.

I want my students to love learning and engage in problem solving. Help me meet my goal!

I teach 26 diverse first grade students.

Many of my students travel from all over the world so that their parents can attend University in the United States. They are eager to learn and discover the world around them. Their parents are doing everything they can to set their students up for success. In my community, there is a strong passion for education.

My Project

Over 50 percent of the fastest growing jobs are science, technology, or math related. As an educator, I want to lay the foundation for these skill sets. I want my students to love learning and engage in problem solving. Help me meet my goal! I want my students to have many opportunities to problem solve using engineering and science practices.

Coding teaches logic skills and problem solving, and it helps kids succeed in an increasingly digital world.

Osmo Coding is a great way to introduce coding to young students. Through the use of Osmo, my students will be learning how to code through manipulation of coding cards.

Albert Einstein said, "Creativity is intelligence having fun." Creativity is another essential part of problem solving. Everyone can be creative, especially children. Osmo Monster unleashes the creativity and brings kids’ drawings to life. This fun and interactive drawing tool allows students to draw things for Mo the Monster. Then their drawing comes alive on the tablet screen.
