My students are a lively bunch who love to learn. As a philosophy, our school is committed to ensuring that special education students are included within the general education classroom as often as possible. That requires myself and the general education teachers to work together as a seamless team.
I believe that all learners are capable-but may need creative strategies to help them achieve success!
Despite their challenges, my students are motivated, eager, and excited to learn each and every day in the project-based environment our school community has established.
My students will be able to explore coding and use their coding skills to spark story telling and improve their problem solving. When I attended the literacy conference, NERD CAMP, this summer I learned about digital story telling and saw how teachers were using these coding robots to spark story telling ideas. Students coded the robots and used their robot's motion to tell a story.
This Ozobot kit also includes 100s of lesson plans that encourage problem solving and teaches students to develop critical thinking skills by presenting them with open ended questions for all ages.
Additionally, this kit will be able to be shared and accessed by the whole school, for every classroom and teacher to use. Coding with Ozobots are adaptable to all ages and also includes different levels of coding complexity- suiting the needs of our entire PreK-7th grade building!
